STEM Is ALIVE at IPES

Aloha Kakou!

Welcome back to 2017-2018 school year.  It's so exciting to continue our PLTW journey for another year.  PLTW, is our Project Lead The Way, complex wide science program K-12.  At the elementary program, we have the PLTW Launch which incorporates 24 interdisciplinary modules bring learning to life for students.  Students engage in hands-on activities in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science to become creative, collaborative problem solvers ready to take on any challenge.

This year is our second year of implementation.  Each grade level will be implementing 2 modules this year incorporated into the grade level's IB planners.  It will be an awesome year to see science alive in the classrooms.

Last year, we had a STEM Night in which students and their families experience a fun-filled evening of science activities.  This year our STEM Night is tentatively scheduled for March 29, 2018.  Mark your calendars!
