Vice Principal's Message

Aloha IPES Families,

I am honored to have the opportunity to be the Vice Principal of a school with such a rich tradition of education!  I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than 23 years, working with a variety of students' from Kindergarten through college.
This year’s educational challenge is all about connection, engagement, and development. A stronger emphasis has been placed on social-emotional learning as we implement the Second Step program in our K-6 classrooms. I appreciate your support as you work with your child at home and encourage you to stay connected and informed by following our school website for important updates and information regarding our reopening plans.
We have been working diligently to plan for a safe reopening of school and to implement best practices to mitigate the risks associated with Covid-19. Our classrooms have been modified to increase social distancing, signage has been installed throughout the campus, and our schedule has been modified to allow for more time for mask breaks, hand washing, and opportunities to access outdoor learning spaces.
Along with the best teachers and staff I could ask for, it is important that I also work with you as a partner in your child’s education. If I can be of assistance to you or your child, contact me at (808) 499-6500 or via email at
