Aloha! My name is Sue Lally and I am the 4th grade Special Education Teacher at Iroquois Point Elementary School (IPES). I grew up in a town 20 miles west of Boston, MA. I began my teaching career in 2000, in the Boston Public School System. I have taught all elementary grade levels and have been a special education teacher for the majority of my 17 years there, before moving to Oahu in 2017. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Trinity College in Hartford, CT, and am certified to teach Elementary, Special Education and English as a Second Language.
When I am not at school you will probably see me at the beach with my family, which includes my son who will be starting 1st grade at IPES this year. We love to be in the water swimming, stand up paddleboarding (SUP), and surfing. When I’m not paddleboarding I am often taking pictures of the kids and our friends learning to catch waves. We also love spending time with our friends and having potlucks. This is a challenging time due to Covid-19 but hopefully we can all do what we need to stay safe and when it is gone, we will potluck again!
